Darius is known as the guitarist, vocalist and songwriter for the Lithuanian folk rock band Airija he founded in 1992.
Airija won the Best Lithuanian Rock Band Award in 1995. They recorded 5 albums before their breakup in 2000. Airija means Ireland in Lithuanian, this is what brought Darius and his drummer wife Asta to Ireland in 2001, where they formed the band Nojus and continue to write and perform original music, recording ten albums to date.
